Berlusconi MUST Now Step Aside After AC Milan Sale

At last! I still need to see the legal papers myself, but it's pretty much confirmed that Berlusconi's iron Roman grip of AC Milan has been loosened and he's sold the club to Chinese investors. This was the right move in order to save this great club from further embarassment. There are times where Milan look to be trying achieve relegation rather than a Scudetto. Now, Berlusconi must simply take two steps to the left and allow the new owners to invest and spend in order to take Milan to where it belongs.

I've never once said Berlusconit hates Milan. I'm sure that he loves the club, and only wants them to do well. However, love is not enough for success. You need to get real and do what's best for the club and put your affections out of it. My good friend Silvio simply hasn't been a good owner for Milan in recent seasons, and hasn't been able to give them what they need to move forward. That being digging into your pocket and spending, because this is what you need to do to succeed if you're youth academy is not up to snugg. So this decision shows how much he truly loved the club.

With the Chinese investment coming in, what is important are these owners care for the club not only in a financial sense but a football one also. Nobody wants an Arsenal situation where it's all about profits and keeping it in the green without any care for winning trophies, because Milan a lot more than Arsenal are a team that deserve to be champions. Their vast history demands it.

The worst thing that could happen is Berlusconi is still somehow involved, and there is confusion as to who holds the real power which will only hurt Milan. It's best that there is a firm departure from Berlusconi because he had his chance, for several summers to inject some life into the club and he failed. How many times were Milan fans screaming for him to spend the money, to do exactly what Inter is doing now? But no, Berlusconi somehow felt such talents like Abate were good enough to win the league. Now it's time to step aside and allow someone to take hold of the wheel.

Milan need to start making changes, the sooner the better. I'm talking wholesale changes, almost an entirely new team. The spending has to begin in earnest and those scouts need to be working overtime with no sleep, because Inter Milan are looking to get even stronger and this Serie A has been proven to be fiercely competitive. You can't dance with the big boys without having the best players.

Here's hoping for a new and better era for AC Milan. The embarrassment is enough. HH
