Higuain to Juventus is MAJOR F.U. To The Serie A

It's official. Higuain has decided to take his "talents" to the all-conquering Juventus, who would have probably won the league again without him. Well, they have him now so unless there are some mob dealings behind the scenes, next season's scudetto should be another walk in the park for Juve.

What does this mean for the Serie A? What are the ramifications of the record goalscorer in a Serie A season moving to a team who have dominated the league for the past four years?

I'll tell you what it means; what was a one-club league has just gotten even more exclusive. Maybe we should just hand Juventus the title now and rather take bets on who will come second. Although, let me be clear here, I don't rate Higuain as highly as others do. He's aight, but I can't call him an unequivocally amazing striker.  What I can say is that he's still much better than the tree-trunk Mandzukic and is at worst, a decent finisher.

Juve have simply gotten better not worse by acquiring him.

But I want you all to really take stock of what has happened here, because people aren't looking at the big picture. A team who have already completely set themselves apart from the league, being on another level in the marathon that is the league campaign just bought the best striker in the Serie A last season.

I call it as I see it. This is a troll job on the Serie A by Juventus. This is them putting up both middle fingers and cackling at their rivals with unabashed glee. Fans of Juve though will say their troll job is justified and this is just revenge for the calciopoli scandal which they felt they got the unfair brunt of.

It resulted in their relegation to Serie B whilst the Milan clubs didn't suffer such a fate.

What goes around, comes around they'll say.

Who am I to argue? If I was a passionate Juve fan. who had gone through such an injustice, I'd be loving this right now. Suffering the humilation of having your historic and great club play in Serie B when you feel you didn't have to serve such a punishment, would make me very pissed off.

So hey, the Juve fans are doing it for Moggi, by gathering Pjanic, Higuain, killing their rivals and aiming to win this league as many times as they possibly can with this great squad.

Thing is, I do not support Juventus, but I've always liked them since the days of one of my fave players, Del Piero.  What I am is a football fan. As a follower of football, I want competition. It's what makes the games interesting to watch and what captivates me. If there is one club that always wins the league every time, and keeps on getting stronger, how much fun can it be to watch as purely a football fan?

What is more exciting, a three or two-horse title race that goes down to the last game or one team winning the league in April by twenty points?

Hey PSG, how ya doing?

Football always has a way of surprising us and there are many times where something can seem a sure bet and turn out not to come true. I always go back to the 2006 Brazilian World Cup squad. On paper, they should have won that trophy in their sleep whilst counting sheep. But they got taken out by Zizou and Henry in the quarters and even before then, they never flowed as well as many thought they would.

This isn't the same case because Juventus are a club team who already have a chemistry of winning, and one player won't ruin all of that. I'm just saying, something that seems so obvious might end up not happening how we think it will in reality.

As for Juventus, I think we now have to put them in the conversation as one of the favorites for the Champions League next season. They were already one of the teams I looked to as sneaking into that final four, but with one of the "best" strikers out there in the world now (I still bite my tongue when saying that), they have to be one of the strongest teams.

It's gonna be interesting...especially the fallout from the Napoli fans. HH
